About Me
From Point A to B is a photo blog by photographer Don McLeer.
For all photographers, whether amateur or professional, the goal is to capture something interesting or beautiful in a given subject. Often, the subject matter is preconceived. A photographer often has a specific goal or message in mind before the camera is even powered on. Even if an artistic photo is happened upon, it is often a subject of grandeur.
However, there are interesting visuals all around us, as we move about our daily lives, most going unnoticed. I am interested in the hidden beauty of the mundane, ordinary, often overlooked objects.
This blog is an outlet for the common, yet interesting things I notice while trudging through the daily grind, or going from “Point A” to “Point B”. The subject matter of these photographs is often “mundane.” But take a closer look. The details in the most mundane subjects often reveal interesting shapes, colors, lines and overall composition. In other words, “art by accident.”
